Subrosa DTT
Let’s be honest here, most frames these days kind of look the same… It may be down to the evolution of BMX or it may be just a looks thing… Who knows? One thing is for sure though, the Subrosa DTT is Kyle Hart’s signature frame and it definitely sticks by its old school looks. Personally I miss seeing dual top tube frames about. The double top tube style of frame was very popular back in the 80’s and it seems like this is a replica of the original style of frame, but a more updated version with a lot of modern-day tweaks. The DTT is made from 4130 Japanese Sanko chromoly tubing, it’s got an integrated headtube which has been drilled for gyro tabs, a gusseted double-butted downtube, heat-treated mid BB shell, double butted seat tube, an integrated seat clamp and a gusseted double-butted downtube. It also has tapered straight gauge seatstays with removable U-brake mounts, an investment cast wishbone, 6mm thick investment cast hollow dropouts and integrated chain tensioners. The DTT is nicely finished off in the “Party Splatter” colour to give it that rad 80’s look.
