 thought you'd like to take a look at FISE Day One! on the RIDE website.

Yesterday at FISE was a qualifying day for the Braun CruZer tour and the Ametur dirt. Most of the rider rode the street course for the afternoon and hung around Montpellier. There are some crazy spots to ride here... Daniel Dhers took a bad crash while riding the street course after colliding with another ride mid air. He looked badly hurt but he is tough so we will see.
The largest controversy yesterday was during the high air comp. The two contenders, Chase Hawk and a young French kid both went way over three meters. The problem was that the contest photographers photos showed the French guy higher when most people though Chase went higher. This sparked a huge crowd of photographers trying to show the judges their own pictures. Chase did five or six 3 meter plus airs to satisfy the judges and in the end they called it a tie.
