The Take is a project company of Jeff Harrington and co, so the ties with FBM are immediately obvious – one glance at the quality of this brand new Ivy frame will tell you quite quickly that this is hand-built in FBM’s rider-run workshop. Expect FBM quality all the way through – three toptube lengths, tidy dropouts, slimline tubing, u-brake lugs under the seatstays, smooth and even welding, USA 4130 cromoly, midsize bottom bracket, integrated headtube, sweet brake cable guides. The colour is amazing – a sort of slightly translucent berry paint varnish finish. The Take is growing steadily but surely, and with product as hugely impressive as this Ivy frame, expect this company to gather a small but perfectly formed dedicated and loyal group of followers.
