Ilegal Cranks
Nuno, the main man from Ilegal Bikes, sets out his stall when it comes to designing his company’s cranks, by saying, “For some reason we prefer cromoly cranks instead aluminium, so we decided to make the Ilegal ones in cromoly” – can’t argue with that logic really. Our favourite Portuguese bike company makes these cranks in 170 or 175mm lengths, left and right hand drive, heat-treated 48 spline cromoly 19mm axle, and in matte black only. There is no BB in the crank it, but chances are you have a decent BB already. A very clean set of cranks they are too.
