Fly Forks
There’s a lot to take in here, so let’s jump into the tech right away: the fully heat-treated 4130 cromoly Three Amigo fork’s one-piece steerer tube is internally machined so on the inside it’s actually oval with thicker wall on the sides, thinner on the front and back, and the steerer is already machined for internal headset bearings (just drop the bearing on the fork). The legs are triple butted and twisted fluted, and slightly shorter than usual – note how they are cut at the bottom / dropout so it won’t hang up on grinds, and there’s less material where Fly thinks it’s not needed to save more weight. Three Amigo triangular holes are in the dropouts and the fork crown, and the star-top adjuster bolt is light, tight, and just looks right. Overall, every detail has been pored over, worked on, and proven by the team riders. Weight? 2.32lb all in.
