Summer, in Estonia?

July 23, 2007 @ 9:00 AM by Mark Noble

If this great British summer is getting you down a little - the sun is sporadic to say the least - then maybe it's time to start planning some overseas trips. How about going to Tallin, Estonia, for the Summer version of the Simpel Session? The winter comp is nuts - check out the Phil Aller video from Simpel Session 07 when he, Steve Bancroft and Robin Fenlon bombed off to Estonia in a convertible Mini for the story in the magazine (click here ) earlier this year. Definitely a comp worth checking out. Here's organiser Risto Kalmre with more info:

"First of all - we're doing a summer edition of Simpel Session - in Tallinn city center on 25th of August 2007. The contest doesn't have big prize money as the winter version, but even more so it's just about riding. The event mostly serves a purpose of being a local qualification for big winter Simpel Session in January. But of course everyone else is welcome to join too! The location is great, new Wessel park is shaping up specially for the event and all the girls wear skirts and bikinis. Hehe... So if anyone has been looking for a reason to visit this weird little country in the good weather period then there you have it. There's a lot of good street to ride here as well. Check updates and get in touch with us - www.session.ee - Last year we did smaller summer pretour events in three cities but we haven't done a bigger summer contest in 4 years. It's gonna be fun!"
