It looks like the guys at Shadow Conspiracy have had a busy Summer – what with team trips to Atlanta, more of which you will be reading about in the October issue of the magazine, video filming and fresh ads, they have also been refining their entire line and coming out with new things in time for Autumn: when we saw preview snaps of the new Seth Kimbrough grip earlier this week, I knew we had to ask Shadow’s main man Ron Bonner a few questions about what’s going down.

Look out for Seth's all-new Shadow grips later this Autumn.

RIDE: How's it going there today?

RONNIE: Raining! Which is good since we are in our final days of getting ready for Interbike. If it was sunny out we all might be bummed working so much, haha.

What are you working on right now?

Shadow 2008 spring collection final details. Along with all final details for Interbike.

This new Seth grip - how long have you been working on it?

The Seth Kimbrough Shadow Guttural grip has been in the works for about four months. While we were on the Shadow Atlanta trip Seth sat down with us and we all knocked it out.

What's special about it - what did Seth want in his grip?

Seth is very picky about his grips and how they feel. So we worked on a special formula for the compound that gives it the softness for comfort but also a balance of firmness that gives it a little longer life. That was a tough one, but creating a pattern took us the most time.

Are you guys working on anything else together?

Yes, Seth has his second version Shadow Penumbra seat being shown at Interbike, and a few other goodies that will be shown by the end of the year.

So, what else is new from Shadow?

At Interbike we are showing about ten new products and we went through the whole collection and revised and refined many of the products. We don't sleep around here so there is always something new about to drop, haha.
