Scotty - don’t miss this one…

You'd be forgiven for missing this clip... and here it is, now it's been loaded onto the mpora video site - Scotty Cranmer's latest video part: is there nothing this guy can't do? Back in the May issue of the magazine we deliberately ran two vastly different interviews with two contrasting riders - Steven Hamilton, and Scotty Cranmer. Both are wild riders in their own unique way (Steven is back in the new, October issue of the magazine, with his story about Federal Bikes' trip to Germany in the brand new "Roadtrip Issue" - out this week).

“I didn’t want to go out there and be like ‘Yo, check me out,’ like a lot of kids are like these days, which sucks” -- Scotty Cranmer, May 2007

Here's what Ride UK contributor Bob Pratt wrote about Scotty: "In an ever-evolving BMX lifestyle where negativity runs amok there are few that take life lightly and still know that bike riding is for the kids (even the 35 year old kids). Scotty is one of those riders on the road less travelled. I've read on the internet message boards how some haters think that Cranmer is one of the conceited, contest-only type riders, when in fact he is the complete opposite. Yeah, even though Scotty set the TV contest world on fire this year with an X-Games Park win and an overall podium spot for the Dew Action Tour, he is still as grounded as he was when I first met him nearly a decade ago. He never vibes anyone and is always down to joke around and will ride anything, not just his own park as some may think. He can make the most ridiculous stuff happen on just a few parking blocks or an 8-foot hip."

"In short, Scotty lives to ride his bike and lives for the progression of his own personal ability. He's not worried about lucrative contracts being thrown his way. At just 19, he'd still be riding just the same without the aspirin and energy drink deals. They have no influence his childish and playful demeanour; he's as grounded as they come." — Bob Pratt

Dig out the back issue of the magazine, re-read his interview, and in the meantime, enjoy this latest clip:
