FRIDAY RANDOMS: D.I.Y Spray Jobs

I’ve seen some pretty wild spray jobs done with just a rattle can in my day, (or even by using an old brush and radiator paint. Seriously.) so I thought it’d be a laugh to see what you lot have done to your bikes when you get bored of the same old spray job and decide to get creative!

By the way… The image (above) is of S&M Bikes Pro Clint Reynolds‘ whip, he must have been in the same situation and decided to give his frame a camo spray job. The funny thing is, S&M liked it so much they made a limited run of his signature CCR Frame to look exactly the same but obviously of a much higher standard.

So yeah, you’re in for a treat. Here’s what our Facebook Group Users have submitted…

First up we had quite a ‘bombardment’ of pictures sent over from Jake James Flowers in our group. Here’s a few different paint jobs he’s done over the years. Here’s just a few of ’em, but by the looks of it the dude loves to paint!

Next up we’ve got a couple of belters from Zac Blair done with some of “Poundland’s finest.”

“2 quid can of paint sprayed over about ten other colours”

“Poundlands finest #goldgang

Ok I know I’m cheating a little bit here because this dude actually spray paints things for a living, but Carl Ruckley definitely deserves a shout out! He’s done some incredible work for Pro BMX riders including the Galaxy spray job below. Check out this article I wrote about his work a while back then keep on scrolling…

Major LOL’s on this one! I honestly thought he’d photoshopped it at first…

Harriet Russ – “Straight outta spray paint” no seriously I ran out before I got to the bottom half of my frame. Thought it looked cool so I left it.

I’ll never get sick of a black spray job on a BMX, it always just makes the ride look like a stealthy weapon. It’s probably the easiest and cheapest option so that’s why many BMXers decide on this colour. Great job by Brandon Henderson on this one, nice one!

Rob Johnson posted this one and it’s possibly my favourite spray job yet, looks a bit like the Clint Reynolds one I’ve used for the feature. Quality work rob, nice blending, sticker placement & overall looks 10/10 for badassness! haha

Love the design of the forks and cranks on these first couple pics Louis Valelly sent over. This is why I love these D.I.Y posts, you always get to see when someone has made an incredible “one-off” – Quality work Louis man, take a bow.

This bike is so ghetto it nearly stole my wallet. Liam Wardle comin’ thru with the bling’ bling’ – Who gives a F**K about overspray?

Lee Thornycroft is our final submission for today, we’ve had loads but I thought it’d be sweet to end on a nice paint splatter theme. Because, why not?
