Federal parts & Nora Cups

September 28, 2007 @ 2:47 PM by Mark Noble

Just got off the phone with Tim March over in Las Vegas - he's at the Interbike trade show flying the flag for the magazines, and doing the industry schmooze. Which reminded me - here are some new Federal products which appeared in the Ride office earlier this week. Full proper reviews will be in the next magazine of course, but there's no harm in a sneak preview here. Also, next week right here we'll have a quick Q&A with Federal's web creator Elwood, talking in-depth about their brand new site, when it goes live in a few days. In the meantime, here's the Federal product:

Federal's revamp continues apace: New 8-inch rise bars, and new lighter / tougher forks.

This is the all-new Federal 1066 frame sat on my desk - for full spec, check the new magazine out October 18th.

The NORA Cup just took place in Las Vegas a few hours ago, and many people will be waking up right now with serious hangovers. The NORA (Number One Rider Award) Cup is an annual awards presentation which harks back to the early days of BMX Action Magazine back in the early 80s, and the winners are voted for by the pros on the Ride USA Magazine contact list. Pros voting for Pros, that's how it goes, and everyone's happy. Here are the 2007 NORA winners:

Dirt: Corey Bohan

Ramp: Jamie Bestwick

Flatland: Matthias Dondois

Racer: Kyle Bennett

Street: Aaron Ross

Video Part: Ruben Alcantara, from Grounded

YES: Jamie Bestwick FINALLY won Ramp Rider Of The Year at the NORAs! Awesome.
