I noticed that the one and only Bob Haro has just created his own website while browsing through Facebook last night. Just for the younger readers who are thinking, eh? Bob Haro? Who’s that? – Firstly it makes me want to *Facepalm* when people say this kinda thing. But it’s not your fault I guess, just wasn’t your era and all we can do is educate!
I could go on for days but I’ll just keep it short…
You’re only riding a bike in this day and age because of Bob (and a few other early riders in his era) This LEGEND has probably been in the BMX game longer than I have been alive and is without a doubt one of the earliest and most influential innovators in BMX history. I grew up looking up to guys like Bob, Matt Hoffman, Dave Mirra, Jay Miron and witnessed what these guys had achieved and created for the sport/lifestyle that we know and love today.
Bob also happens to be a very talented artist, businessman & entrepreneur. There’s nothing this man can’t do if he puts his mind to it!
Personally I had no idea that Bob works as an illustrator and was blown away by the level of his work. I’ve done a little bit of illustration myself and really admire the work of top UK illustrators such as Adi Gilbert so I can really appreciate how much time and effort goes into the final product.
