BMXer Jamie McKechnie Riding Again After Train Station Assault Which Left Him Brain Damaged

UK shredder Jamie McKechnie was punched in the head by some feral creep called Andrew Ellis (banged up for three years). Jamie was airlifted to King’s Hospital in Camberwell, where doctors gave him a 30 per cent chance of survival.

Jamie’s life was in the balance as he spent weeks in a coma fighting to survive. This was 2011 and years of battling and support from his friends, family and missus Ellen progress is more than being made. Jamie requires a walking stick still, and his speech is getting stronger.

One element of progress for Jamie is the fact he can now ride again. The feeling of getting back on the bike after all this trauma must have been so liberating. We’d like to wish him and his crew all the best going forward and congrats on the wedding guys.
