Bike Check: Davros

September 27, 2007 @ 1:22 PM by Mark Noble

Being that it's Bar End Trails Jam this coming Sunday, I figured it was time we caught up with one of the longtime builders and locals, Davros. Davros is a local to Bar End and they've been prepping the sets all week, ready for the weekend, but he took time out to come visit the office and do a quick Bike Check. Actually, it's not the first time Davros has been here to the Ride magazine office - he worked for a couple of weeks in the old place earlier this year, under the wing of Document Skate magazine designer Chris Gordon. I think Chris just brought him in so he could offload a bunch of scanning work onto Dave's shoulders. Something like that. So, how are things going at Bar End? "Bar End is getting a major refit as we speak, haha. Getting stuff ready for the Jam. Glad of the rain - the weather has been ideal. Just enough moistness to get things sorted." Anyway, running up to this weekend's Bar End Jam, here's the Davros machine.

Ah yes - Dave's custom seat mod. Ditch the seatclamp, cut the frame right down, insert a little threaded bolt in a drilled-out hole, figure out how to clamp it all together, and slam that seat right down... dialled.

Here are some trails from the Levis team - but it's a world away from Bar End trails.
