Ride to Glory - Wethepeople ‘Ireland’ Update
From Nathan Beddows/Wethepeople...

"Things are going swimmingly for the We The People team. The extra time spent on travelling has been well worth it, the whole team seem to be more in the roadtrip frame of mind with more hammers being dropped at each spot than on a B&Q training day. Every member of the group has been contributing something amazing to each spot we've hit and I'm already filling up memory cards at an alarming rate. The challenges have proven to be nothing but childs-play with most being ticked-off by the crew without even realising it.

Peter Adam & Irish Matt have been our hosts so far and have been treating us to backgarden swimming pools, "Arnold's" greasy food, woodland BBQ's next to mansions and their general Irish humour, along with obviously some amazing & relatively undocumented spots.
For most of us it's our first time over the Irish sea and the culture-shock syndrome has been in full effect too. Rolling through the streets & ghettos of Belfast has been a real eye-opener, what you might consider 'sketchy' over on the mainland is actually nothing compared to here. On Ballybeen council estate we came across roaming tribes of feral-esc scally youth, most brandishing weapons of some form - it was just like a scene from Madmax or something as they swarmed out of their stacked-pallet dens like ants from a nest. Even discussions off performing backflips weren't met with the usual chavvy enthusiasm, and after about 15 mins we were all set set to get the hell outta there. Typically though the sketchiest places usually reveal the best street spots, and well, you'll see on the video...

Ballybeen or Mad Max locals?
I'm being pestered by TM Rob Harrison to hurry up & get in the Van so I will have to keep this brief but you will be hearing more from the WTP team in the next day or so. The next leg of our trip takes us further south into the heart of Dublin to un-earth some more un-tapped & undocumented street gems -and to see the other side of the Irish cultural coin. Shortly after that we will making our way back over to England for the final shred - destinations unconfirmed at this point.

Fully submerged challenge?
Over and out, Beddows."
