One of the most respected names in BMX, American brand Odyssey has been designing and producing award-winning and innovative bike parts since 1985. Based in Norwalk, California, Odyssey parts are available in many countries around the world including in Europe, South America, Asia and Australasia.
The Odyssey parts range is extensive to say the least – featuring pretty much everything apart from the frame itself, the list includes cranks, sprockets, pedals, bottom brackets, chains, handlebars, stems, grips, bar ends, brakes, forks, pegs and seating. It is particularly good on wheels, offering completes as well as rims, hubs, spokes and tyres. There is also a collection of clothing, featuring items such as T-shirts, caps and socks.
In addition to their incredible parts range, Odyssey has a list of influential team riders a mile long, including pros Aaron Ross, Chase Hawk, Gary Young, Tom Dugan, Broc Raiford and Sean Sexton, and ams Mat Houck, Grant Germain, Matt Nordstrom, Brandon Webster, Jacob Cable and Travis Hughes. There are also Flow and Legends teams, plus many international riders including UK-based stars such as Lloyd Wright, Sam Foakes and Danny Stanzl.
Since its launch, Odyssey has released many great videos under the ‘Odsyvision’ label, plus exclusive web edits and product promos. There are also three full-length Odyssey DVDs, ‘Odyssey’ (2003), ‘Odyssey’s Odyssey’ (2004) and, most recently, ‘Electronical’ (2008), which was filmed on location in New Zealand, USA, South Africa, Spain, Canada, China and Germany.
