On the road again…..

In the last month I've been to Baltimore, then England, then Dubai, then England, then Germany, then Cleveland and now I'm in LA. Been racking up the air miles for sure.

I rode the Masters event in Germany which was a lot of fun, always good to ride with the Condor and catch up on his latest madness. Then I went to Cleveland for the Dew tour. A lot like Baltimore, the weather kept messing the riding up so there were lots of delays but, by the time we got it done, I was over my jet lag, in a really good mood and was excited to ride. We did a pretty funny demo in the afternoon because the comp was postponed but there was a big crowd so we had to give them something. I did a 540 under Jamie doing a flair, crossover style, and I think we freaked EVERYONE out. Jamie nearly took my head off ( I went a little bit high!). It was pretty funny, though, a genuine near miss.

I was pretty happy to win the comp, by the time we got to ride, it was 9pm and I think a few people were in a bad mood from hanging around all day. It didn't really bother me, it was worth waiting for the wind to drop and I had a really good time riding. I did the best no hand to bar 5 I have ever done and the best turndown flair I have ever done and I did this tweaked table/invert flair with the bars turned 90 degrees that I was stoked on. Jamie and I sessioned it the day before and both learnt it so I was happy to get that in. Francisco 'Coco' Zurita, my friend from Chile, did a triple whip air about 9 feet out. Oh my God, it was amazing! You know, I'm happy to ride any time of day as long as it's not early in the morning. Oh well, that was that and I'm now in LA for the Soul Bowl contest in Huntingdon Beach and the X Games the week after. Got a few days to kill so I'm going to catch up with some friends and do some fun stuff.
Mat Hoffman suggested going to ride Bob Burnquist's mega-ramp on monday. Not sure if I'm up for it but I'll see how I feel!
