First off, incase you've been hiding under a rock, you know by now that Stephen Murray took a bad fall at the first Dew Tour and sustained life altering injuries. Please please please, click on the image below and contribute to the Stephen Murray Family Fund and help out a fellow rider.
People world wide are doing jams and fund raisers to help raise money for Stephen and it's been overwhelming to see how the BMX community has pulled together. I recently attended the Trans Am Tiki Jam which was hosted by Little Devil/Orchid owner, Derek Adams. It was really good; backyard trails, live bands, BBQ, etc... My type of scene. Tons of riders were on had and there was even a raffle with money going to the Stephen Murray Family Fund, good times. I was supposed to go to Germany for the Masters this last weekend but my flights got so screwed up that I couldn't make it. Needless to say, I was bummed as I really love Cologne. Speaking of shitty flights, what's going on with air travel these days? On my last five flights I've either had delays, cancellations, lost bags, or all of the above. What's the deal? I'm going to the second stop of the Dew Tour tomorrow (July 17th) in Cleveland and lucky for me I live close enough that I don't have to fly. Horray for me! later on in the month I'm attending Morgan Wades wedding and then going on a five day filming trip in the Phoenix area for my up and coming Props interview. How 'bout that? Phoenix in July! For those of you that don't know, Phoenix in the summer is an average of about 110 dergrees farenhieht in the shade. How's that song go again? G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S... yeah. OK, so this wasn't a very informative blog but I haven't done one in a while and I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. Next time I promise It'll be better. Till then, take 'er easy!
